Attention Residents

No Golf Carts

Several homeowners have noticed and expressed concern about golf carts and all-terrain vehicles being driven on roads and sidewalks in Faircloud. According to City Ordinance 10.62.040, the use of these vehicles, in this manner, is prohibited and could result in a fine.

“City Ordinance 10.62.040 – Prohibition.

Golf carts and all-terrain vehicles shall not be operated on any public roads and streets, public sidewalks or public trails in this City.”

Dogs Must be Leashed !

The Faircloud HOA would like to remind all homeowners that the City of Edmond has a number of ordinances addressing an owner’s responsibility for controlling dogs, including requiring that dogs be leashed when in public areas.  Please refer to Title 7 of the City of Edmond Code of Ordinances available here:

https://library.municode.com/ok/edmond/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=COOR_TIT7AN

We have had several complaints from people that walk in our neighborhood, and parents of children playing in the greenbelt, that mostly large dogs are running loose and not on a leash (even though the owners are in the area).

Please remember, it is a City ordinance that dogs must be leashed for safety and cleanliness of the neighborhood and greenbelt.  If the HOA is notified that a dog is not on a leash in Faircloud, the HOA will contact the Edmond Animal Shelter.

There are dog parks in Edmond, and City ordinances allow dogs to be unleashed in those parks subject to certain rules.

From The City of Edmond Website:

The Edmond Animal Services Unit is a component of the Edmond Police Department’s Special Services Division.

Animal Services is also responsible for the enforcement of municipal and state laws concerning the treatment of animals; the management of the City’s animal shelter; the humane treatment and care of animals in the shelter; as well as striving to reunite lost animals with their families and find new homes for the adoptable animals at the shelter.

The Edmond Animal Shelter can be reached at 405-216-7615.

Thank you for your cooperation.
